1) Activating DND on MTS Mobile.
DND can be activated by either SMS or Calling 1909 from your mobile number. 1909 is a toll-free number and MTS will not charge you for sending SMS or making call to 1909.
It takes 7 days for any request to get processed.
Send SMS | START DND to 1909
Call | 1909
2) De-Registration of DND (now NCPR).
De-Registration or de-activation of DND will make yourself you receive all kind of unwanted commercial calls and messages again.
Send SMS | STOP DND to 1909
Call | 1909
3) DND Complaint registration process
Call 1909 from your MTS Mobile number and report the Call or Message recieved.
4) Key points:-
i) DND will never block any of your solicited communication like Bank alerts SMS, Bank communications, Ticket / online booking confirmations, etc.
ii) Each DND request takes 7 days for the process and a confirmation SMS will be sent to you in 24 hours.
iii) There should be minimum 3 months gap between previous DND request or registration for a new request.
iv) 1909 is a Toll-free number, no charges applicable.

My MTS mobile number 9136145205 is a DND registerednumber. Despite it, today I have received a SMS from 08285537991 stating “Get personal Loan upto 15-18% PA from HDFC bank…” at 11.45 am on 29.9.11. Your DND number 1909 is totally inefficient and non-workable, whenever I called it up, it disconnects automatically. Your 1500 service is equally bad. Hope I get response on it.

Al tough you registered with DND, you may have subscribed your mobile number to other services like Job Sites, Matrimonial sites, movie tickets, deals & discounts, onlie free SMS and other sites. Where you authorize them to share your MTS mobile number with their partner to send messages, here partners means nothing but they sell the database to anyone who pays money.
So check where all you registered, alternatively lodge a complaint with MTS mobile with below format:-
COMP TEL NO XXXXXXXXXX, dd/mm/yy, Time hh:mm
In your case it will be something like below:-
COMP TEL NO 8285537991, 29/09/11, Time 11:45 and follow up with customer care if no response in 7 days.

MTS abhi bhi purana system pe hai kaam chala raha hai, aap START DND likhkar 1909 par SMS kijiye.
Agar isse bhi kaam nahi hua to hume bhatayye.

MTS ki isaab se DND activation keliye START DND sms bhejna tha. TRAI ki isaab se START 0 bhejna tha. Hum dono bhi try karchuke the.
Aur aap ki number NCPR mein registered bhi nahi hai.
Abhi aapke pas 5 option baaki hai :-
1) START0 likhkar 1909 pe message bhejiye (no gap between START and 0).
2) Aapki MTS mobile se 1909 par call kijiye aur udhar DND activate karnekeliye option chuniye.
3) Customer care par complaint dijiye aur jab tak aap ka number pe DND activate nahi hoga, aap har ladthe rahiye. Mail pe aur call karke.
4) Consumer court aur TRAI pe complaint kijiye.
5) Option 3 & 4 kamse kam 1 aur 2 mahene minimum lagenge. Isliye MTS se kisi doosra mobile connection lijiye aur MNP ka help se aap ka MTS number hi istimal karsakthe hai.

You have two options :-
1) Send START 6 to 1909 to modify your NCPR preference to receive online communications from Job sites, where as by doing this you will receive other SMS also from online SMS sites, groups or social networking.
2) Change communication setting / preferably DND setting your Job related sites accounts and accept to receive SMS / calls on the mobile.

I am trying to register my mobile number 9213522898 since from march 2012. In august, my number get dregister from dnd but when i check this online i found my dnd is still active. I do many efforts but everything is vain.
I am unable to verify my number with facebook and also unable to recieve any message from google sms labs.
Please help me and reply me either on my mobile number or on my email id-lovishgupta2003@gmail.com.

You mobile number is registered at NCPR with preference 0, change it to 6 by sending SMS START 6 to 1909.
I have alreday register for DND but still some messages and calls are receiving. Please stop all these unwanted parmotional call even SMS by operator like YD-665665 which comes dozen in a week.My No is 8432735209.
